Appalachian graduate
Erin Yvonne Ellenburg received a master of music in trumpet performance May 11 from Appalachian State University in Boone.
Her graduate lecture recital April 5 was “The Evolution of Solo Trumpet Repertoire” and performed on period instruments.
Ellenburg is a member of the International Trumpet Guild, American Musicological Society and International Alliance for Women in Music.
A 1999 graduate of East Rowan High School, she received a bachelor’s degree in music education with a minor in psychology in 2005 from Appalachian.
Her parents are Randy and Yvonne Ellenburg of Rockwell.
