CHINA GROVE ó Police were searching for suspects Sunday evening after a woman reported being robbed at gunpoint on South Main Street.
The incident happened around 6:30 p.m. A woman told police she had left Mikey’s One Stop at 1104 S. Main St. when a car approached with three men and two women inside, according to police radio traffic.
One or more of the people got out of the car, the woman reported, and one of the men pointed a small gun at her and robbed her. The woman returned to the store and called police.
Authorities communicated to one another that the suspects may have been in Mikey’s before the robbery and their images might have been captured on the store’s surveillance video.
No further details were available Sunday evening.
