Staff report
The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office continues the search for a missing Salisbury teen.
The family of Crystal Peters, 15, of 6425 Lowder Road, is asking anyone whose seen her to contact local law enforcement.
They last saw her Thursday around 11 p.m., said Sheriff’s Capt. John Sifford.
It wasn’t until 7:30 a.m. Friday morning that they noticed she was gone.
She apparently left through a bedroom window with her suitcase and clothing.
Investigators said she contacted a friend saying she was in Georgia where relatives live.
Her mother, Terry Call, said her family has contacted the relatives in Georgia, who said they had not seen Crystal.
Crystal is 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighs around 120 pounds. She has green eyes and reddish-brown shoulder-length hair, which she usually wears in a ponytail. She has a light-brown birthmark on the right side of her neck.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office at 704-216-8700.
