Wingate scholarship
Emily Marie Burns, a senior at West Rowan High School, has been awarded a Student Engagement Scholarship to attend Wingate University this fall.
The scholarship has a four-year value of $12,000 or $3,000 per academic year. It is awarded to students for participatory achievements during their high school years. Recipients are expected to continue their extracurricular involvement at Wingate.
Burns is the daughter of Rodney and Jerrie Burns of Salisbury.
