Salisbury Police arrested a Salisbury High student Friday for standing out in the middle of a street near the school and impeding traffic.
A notation on the arrest warrant said James Ford Stanley, 16, of 6 Shives St. laughed at the arresting officer R.A. Efird and remained in the street after being warned by the officer to leave. Other students were watching Stanleys antics, reports said.
Stanley was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center under $300 bond and charged with impeding traffic by standing in the street.
It is a misdemeanor charge.
