China Grove man charged in break-in
LANDIS Police charged Oscar Leon Hammond Jr. Saturday with breaking into Landis Supply sometime late last Monday or early Tuesday.
Hammond, 31, of 100 McCleave Road, China Grove, faces charges of injury to real property; breaking, entering and felony larceny; and possession of stolen goods.
Police say Hammond broke the front showroom window of Landis Supply at 116 N. Central Ave. and stole a pressure washer, backpack leaf blower, weed trimmer and pump sprayer. The items were worth $1,200.He is charged with possessing the stolen pressure washer.
