In observance of Join Hands Day, the Southwest Rowan County Chapter of Thrivent Financial for Lutherans is planning a Family Fun Day to be held on Saturday, June 9 from 3-7 p.m. at the South Rowan YMCA Soccer Fields. Plans are to have two inflatable bounce houses, fun games for all ages, face painting, hot dogs and hamburgers (food and drinks available to purchase). Admission for the event will be canned food to share with local food banks. We will also make cards and assemble care packs to be sent to our troops overseas.
