A Greensboro man was charged Thursday with possessing drugs and a gun and throwing blood on an officer trying to arrest him.
O’Reynold Jamaar Lennon, 28, of 4603 Vincent St., was charged with possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana, malicious conduct by prisoner, misdemeanor carrying a concealed gun and resisting a public officer.
According to an arrest warrant, Salisbury Police officer Mark Hunter was attempting to arrest Lennon, who had 37 grams of marijuana on him and a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol.The warrant said Lennon refused to be handcuffed, and Salisbury Police officer R.B. Willis stepped in to assist.
The warrant said Lennon “knowingly did emit bodily fluid (blood) at the officer,” who was assisting Hunter in arresting him.
