The Adolescent and Family Enrichment Council of Rowan County, a United Way agency, will present “Nurturing Your Young Child,” a summer workshop in two locations.
The classes are scheduled 7:15-8 p.m. June 20 and 27 and July 11, 18 and 25 at Cornerstone Church, 315 Webb Road and 6-7 p.m. June 4, 11, 18 and 25 at 417 N. Main St., China Grove. They are geared for parents of children from birth to age 5.
Topics will include understanding your child’s behavior, ages and stages of child development and discipline.
Free day-care credits will also be given to day-care teachers who attend.
The sessions are funded by Smart Start Rowan. Free child care and a Hispanic translator will be available. Pre-registration is required.
