A burglar kicked in the back door to rental property owned by a Salisbury man and then stole a $3,000 LCD projection HD television, according to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Department.
Bruce Edward Owens reported the theft occurred at 107 Sells Road between June 2 and 7.
In other Sheriff’s Department reports:
– Donna S. Deaton, 3535 Organ Church Road, Rockwell, reported two gold bracelets stolen from her home June 5 or 6. The bracelets are valued at $600.
– Martin Keaford Morrison, 1901 Benjamin Drive, reported the theft of a $6,000 four-wheeler from his yard the night of June 6.
– Dean Robert Endress of Woodleaf reported golf equipment, a shop vacuum and a five-foot ladder were stolen during a break-in at 1660 Godby Road between May 17 and June 7. Total loss was $2,530.- Niki Peterson, 110 Todd Circle, reported two cell phones stolen from her home between May 20 and June 7. Total loss was $250.
– Melissa Milicent Maxwell, 23, 1101 N. Main St., was charged June 7 with making a threatening phone call based on a complaint by Charmaine Hairston, 4415 Mount Hope Church Road. She was also charged with making harassing phone calls based on a complaint by Millicent J. Mills, 1106 W. Horah St. Maxwell was released on a written promise to appear in court July 10 on the first charges and July 26 on the second.
– Nichelle Nicole Cherry, 17, 3615 Dogwood Court, was charged June 7 with second-degree trespassing and communicating threats based on a complaint by Necole Fantt, 1418 N. Main St. Trial date is July 5.
– Sara C. Trexler, 1115 Liberty Road, Gold Hill, reported a television and two rings stolen during a June 7 burglary at her home. Total loss was $1,750.
– Kareem Jamal Horton, 25, 199 Crowder Dixon Road, was charged June 7 with two counts of possession of stolen property. Trial date is July 18.
– Anthony Eugene Walter, 18, 3990 Statesville Blvd., was charged June 7 with felony breaking, entering and larceny. He is accused of breaking into Matthew Alan Callahan’s home at 3990 Statesville Blvd., Lot 13 and stealing a computer, gold necklace and bottle of hydrocodone. He was held under $1,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– John H. Cottrell, 3510 Old Mocksville Road, reported an $80 bicycle stolen from his property the night of June 6.
