UNC-Chapel Hill grad
Walker Brooks graduated May 13 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He graduated summa cum laude with highest honors and highest distinction. He received a bachelor of science degree in chemistry with a minor in math.
Brooks received the Francis P. Venable Medal, a Chancellor’s Award and the Undergraduate Award for Excellence in Physical Chemistry. He also was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa his junior year.
A 2003 honor graduate of West Rowan High School, he plans to enter the UNC School of Medicine in Chapel Hill this fall. His parents are Ron and Glenda Brooks of Salisbury.
