A Salisbury man has been charged with taking an air conditioner at gunpoint.
Willie James Collins Jr., 46, of 313 Old Concord Road, is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon.
According to information in an arrest warrant, Collins took a $490 GE air conditioner from a house on Lafayette Street in Spencer. He displayed a small black pistol and threatened the property owner, according to the warrant.
The incident occurred May 3. Collins was arrested Sunday.
He is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center in lieu of $20,000 bond.
