East Carolina grad
Cara Barnes graduated May 4 from East Carolina University in Greenville with a degree in exercise and sport science.
At ECU, Barnes participated in the Honors Program and was named to the chancellor’s and dean’s lists. She was also a member of Gamma Sigma Sigma Sorority.
She will serve an internship at Tuckahoe YMCA in Richmond, Va., before pursuing a graduate degree in occupational therapy at ECU this fall.
A 2002 graduate of East Rowan High School, she is the daughter of Robert Barnes of Salisbury and Teresa Barnes of Richmond, Va.
