Rowan County Sheriff’s Office deputies are looking for the person who threatened a bike rider and then fired at least four shots at him.
The victim, a 22-year-old male, told deputies the incident occurred about 3 p.m. June 19 as he rode his bicycle on Susan Lane.
In other Sheriff’s Office reports:
– Thomas Woodrow Steelman, 22, Lot 2 Gaddy’s Mobile Home Park, was charged June 19 with felonious breaking and entering and three counts of felony larceny of a firearm.He was held under $5,000 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– Jessica Regan Brawley, 335 Knight Farm Road, China Grove, reported $700 was stolen from her pocketbook at her home June 19.
– Melvin Lee McAlister of Millbridge Speedway, 6332 Mooresville Road, reported a burglar broke into the speedway building between June 16 and 19 and stole items valued at $1925.
– Johnny Ray Miller, of Cleveland reported a burglar broke into a house he owns at 221 Eden Drive between June 16 and 19 and stole a stove, washer and dryer, rifle, refrigerator and two television sets. Total loss was $1,350.
– Stephanie Chevon Ramseur, 174 Kittey Lane, China Grove, reported jewelry and cash stolen during a June 19 or 20 break-in at her home. Total loss was $250.
– John William Shell of China Grove, reported the June 19 theft of three sets of wheels on axles behind a mobile home at 850 Weaver Road. Total loss was $850.
– Hilda Bebber Beaver of Landis reported a $1,000 scooter was stolen from beside Menius Road in China Grove . It broke down there June 19 and was gone when she and her son went to retrieve it the next morning.
– Crystal L. Herrera, 140 Eastover Drive, reported her purse was stolen from a vehicle while it was parked at her home June 19. Total loss was $257.
– Star Harrington Kelly, 8500 Smith Road, Kannapolis, reported checks and medication stolen from her home the night of June 19.
– Alice Keene of Salisbury reported an unknown male took her purse from a picnic table at Royal Creek Bridge, 17000 Stokes Ferry Road, Richfield, June 20. Total loss was $422.
– Dean Wilhite, 5327 Cavin Lane, Kannapolis, reported seven fishing rods and reels were stolen from his back yard June 19 or 20. Total loss was $500.- Joshua Scott Kelly, 22, 8500 Smith Road, Kannapolis, was charged June 21 with two counts of misdemeanor larceny and two counts of failing to appear in court on earlier charges. He was held under $1,300 secured bond pending a July 23 trial date.
Tracie Farrington Moss, 38, 315 Falcon Lane, was charged June 14 with felony accessory after the fact. She was released on a written promise to appear in court June 18.
In other Sheriff’s Office reports:
– Alisha Jane Crawford, 21, 1143 Maidstone Drive, was charged June 15 with felony larceny. She was held under $500 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– Charles Evan Powell, 16, 7545 Tuckaseegee Road, Kannapolis, was charged June 14 with misdemeanor larceny and injury to real property. He was held under $700 secured bond pending a July 30 trial date.- Thomas Woodrow Steelman, 22, Lot 2 Gaddy Mobile Home Park, was charged June 18 with felony breaking and/or entering, felony larceny and injury to real property. He was held under $7,500 secured bond pending a first appearance in court.
– Joseph M. Teahan, 46, 120 Charolais Drive, was charged June 14 with simple assault based on a complaint by Timothy Faucette, 719 Victory St. Trial date is July 19.
– Randy Scott Foley, 50, 140 Delinda Drive, Rockwell, was charged June 14 with felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury and felony burning personal property. He was held under $50,000 secured bond pending a June 25 trial date in Guilford District Court, Greensboro.
– Chacity Renee Earnhardt, 18, 1085 Lucky Lane, was charged June 14 with damage to property, simple assault and communicating threats based on a complaint by Betty McCombs, 612 E. Lyerly St., Granite Quarry. Earnhardt was released on a written promise to appear in court July 19.
– Barbara Harless, 38, 835 Jones Road, Mount Ulla, was charged June 14 with two counts of simple assault based on a complaint by Amber Lipscomb, 805 Jones Road, Mount Ulla. Trial date is July 19.
