UNC-Chapel Hill grad
Meghan Elizabeth Free is a May 13 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received a bachelor of science degree in biology with distinction and a minor in chemistry.
At UNC, Free was active in Lutheran Campus Ministries and traveled to Eisleben, Germany, birthplace of Martin Luther, on a mission trip.
A dean’s list student, she was a member of Beta Beta Beta National Biology Honor Society and worked as a lab research assistant studying lupus.She has accepted a position as an intramural research training awardee with the National Institute of Health in the Research Triangle Park.
She is the daughter of Tim and Patricia Free of Salisbury and a 2004 honor graduate of East Rowan High School.
