Clint Allan Fontenot was recently awarded a $1,200 scholarship from the North and South Carolina UAW Cap Council for winning first place in the essay contest.
A senior at Carson High School, Fontenot is a scholar athlete and will graduate with honors. He plans to attend East Carolina University in Greenville and pursue a career as a physician’s assistant.
He is the son of Allan And Wendy Fontenot of China Grove and a member of Central Baptist Church in Kannapolis.
