Justin Bailey Wolfe of Sisk Carter Road in Rockwell has received the Randall Gore Memorial Scholarship at East Rowan High School.
Wolfe, a senior at East, has always liked to take things apart and see how they work. He works part-time at Advance Auto and is working on a 1990 RX-7 to get it running again.
The son of David and Debbie Wolfe, he plans to attend NASCAR Technical Institute, Mooresville, in the Ford Fact program.
Wolfe has earned the Order of the Arrow and his Eagle Scout award, coordinating a blood drive at Organ Lutheran Church. He is also a Boy Scout lifeguard.
He was in JROTC for three years, becoming a rifle team commander and rappel master.
The $500 scholarship was established in 1994 in memory of Randall Gore, who was a rising senior at East Rowan. It is sponsored by Organ Lutheran Church.
