The Salisbury Planning Board OK’d plans Tuesday for a remodeling and expansion of the Gerry Wood Kia building at 529 Jake Alexander Blvd. South.
The Kia dealership also has been home to Gerry Wood Honda, but the Honda dealership will soon be moving to a new location on Jake Alexander Boulevard between Team Chevrolet and the Sagebrush restaurant.
Dealerships along Jake Alexander Boulevard, including Team, Cloninger, Gerry Wood and Mynatt, have been going through various building facelifts in the recent past.
Gerry Wood Kia’s existing front canopy will be removed and a total of 1,056 square feet will be added to include a service reception area on the west side and a vehicle delivery area on the east side.
Planners voted 11-0 for the additions and remodeling.
