Funeral services
Officials said Monday a joint funeral service for Salisbury firefighters Justin Monroe and Victor Isler will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Omwake-Dearborn Chapel at Catawba College.
The service is expected to last an hour and a post-service motorcade will travel to Rowan Memorial Park for burial.
According to Salisbury Police Department Chief Deputy Steve Whitley, officials anticipate a large turnout for the service.
Parking is limited, Whitley warns.
The area immediately around the chapel and Keppel Auditorium will be reserved for the families and the motorcade, he said.
The police department will assist with parking at the college.
“There are plans for a possible shuttle,” Whitley said.
Officials said visitation for Isler will be held Wednesday from 1 to 4 p.m. at Lyerly’s Funeral Home, 515 S. Main St.
Visitation for Monroe will be Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Miller’s Ferry Fire Station 64, 2650 Long Ferry Road.
