A motorist traveling on West Innes Street early Wednesday morning wrecked, wiping out three vehicles at Salisbury Motor Co.
The Salisbury Police Department charged Jason Darrell Athey, 28, of 5204 Agner Drive, Salisbury, with driving while license revoked.
Salisbury Police Chief Mark Wilhelm said Athey was traveling on West Innes when he ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree. He continued on and hit three vehicles.
Athey stayed at the scene until law enforcement arrived, Wilhelm said.
Two trucks and a vehicle, which were parked at the company’s truck lot, were heavily damaged.
No employees were present at the time of the accident, around 5 a.m. No one was injured.
Employee Steve Whitley said he’s been with the company about 42 years and he’s seen his fair share of crashes. Vehicles have crashed into the showroom and the garage, he said.
Whitley said the vehicles struck Wednesday were two 2009 GMC trucks and a 2009 Pontiac G5.
Whitley said one of the pickups is probably totaled. The other vehicles can be repaired.
