Woman faces abuse charge

Police responding to a disturbance on Lloyd Street ended up charging a woman with child abuse.
Salisbury Police charged Crystal Nicole Sion, 25, of 1614 Standish St., with misdemeanor child abuse and driving while impaired.
Officer M.E. Morgan reported that Sion had a 3-year-old child in the rear seat of the car in a booster seat.
Officers determined that the child had signs of neglect and reported the incident to the Rowan County Social Services Department.
In other charges or incidents on Sept. 17:
– Two local businesses Williams Cleaners on W. Jake Alexander Blvd, and Taqueria Guanajuato, of 1106 Mooresville Road reported graffiti on their buildings.
– Otto Robin Worth Jr., 25, of 2170 Grubb Ferry Road was charged with being an habitual felon.
In other charges or incidents on Sept. 16:
– Lori Ann Archie, 47, reported that a white Mustang ran over her foot while in the parking lot at Food Lion at 2104 Statesville Blvd. Archie told police she informed the driver that she had drove over her foot, but the driver left the scene.
