If you haven’t watched “The Kathy and Shavonne Show” on salisburypost.com, you don’t know what you’re missing.
Salisbury Post reporters Kathy Chaffin and Shavonne Potts take time out from writing to talk about what’s going on in Rowan County and the rest of the world. They’re encouraging, fun and sometimes downright silly.
It all started when Chaffin and Potts discussed the need for having and sharing more fun and decided a Web site talk show was the best way to do it.
On a typical show, Chaffin, who has studied dreams for years, tries her hand at interpretation, while Potts, a self-professed shoe addict, shows viewers a different pair from her collection.
In their next show, Chaffin and Potts encourage viewers to send in stories about marriage proposals to use in an upcoming special edition. They’re looking for unique, romantic, funny, crazy ways that people proposed.
Chaffin also issued a Project Encouragement challenge to say something encouraging to at least two people a day in the hopes of healing the world one encouraging word at a time. They’re asking viewers who accept the challenge to share their experiences to be included in another special edition.
Send your proposal stories, Project Encouragement experiences and other ideas and comments to posttalk@salisburypost.com.
