As many as 125 motorcyclists will gather Saturday at the Salisbury VFW on Brenner Avenue for the third annual D-Day Memorial Poker Run. The event will honor the men who stormed the beaches of Normandy.
The motorcyclists will leave the VFW at noon with a police escort. They will travel north on U.S. 29 through downtown Salisbury and Spencer as they make their way to various veterans’ organizations in Davidson and Rowan Counties.
Riders will return to the Salisbury VFW for a dinner provided by the Post.
