Hefner VA Medical Center hosts educational fair
The W.G. Bill Hefner VA Medical Center in Salisbury is hosting an educational fair on Friday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Social Room of Building Six.
The event is part of activities planned during the week of Veterans Day.
The focus of the Education Fair will be the veterans, VA employees, VA retirees, retired military and all family members.
Representatives from area colleges and universities and universities that offer online courses will be present.
Participating educational institutions include Catawba College, Livingstone College, Pfeiffer University, Mitchell Community College, Cabarrus College of Health Sciences (CMC Northeast), Winston Salem State, ECPI, Montreat College, Grand Canyon University (online), University of Phoenix (online), Walden University, Hayworth College/Queens University and the Virginia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Those interested in pursuing a degree or career, changing careers or going into the health care field are encouraged to attend.
