Two Salisbury teens face multiple break-in and larceny charges in connection with a spree of car break-ins in and around Salisbury and Granite Quarry.
Glenn Travis Bowman, 18, of 1023 Linconton Road, and Dominique Finger, 18, 1614 11-B Standish St., are being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under $25,000 bond.
Both are charged with 18 counts of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle and misdemeanor larceny. They are also charged with larceny of a firearm.
According to information contained in warrants, the two stole guns, cell phones, a Dell laptop computer, several GPS systems, CD players, I-pods, wallets, cash, a camera, a watch and $6 in Canadian coins from cars and trucks.
Other items taken included a Bosch hammer drill and Dewalt cordless drill.
The guns included a 9mm Ruger P85 and a Walther .380 taken from a car on June 11.
It was unclear late Tuesday night if any of the stolen items had been recovered.
Reports indicated officers were looking for other possible suspects.
The break-ins and thefts apparently continued until the early hours of Tuesday morning when they were arrested in Granite Quarry.
The warrants sworn out by Deputy T.M. Haupt of the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office and Granite Quarry officer Wayne Trivette included break-ins and thefts from vehicles on nearly a dozen streets, including Roberts Drive, Rogers Drive, Locke Circle, Briggs Road in Salisbury and Crowell Street, Meadow Wood and Salisbury Avenue in Granite Quarry.
Bowman and Finger are scheduled to make their first appearance in Rowan County District Court today.
