Salisbury Police charged a McCoy Road man after he allegedly broke into a Zion Hill apartment and took a $200 baby stroller Sunday.
Police charged Rasheed Mustafa Hasan, 25, of 109 McCoy Road with breaking, entering and larceny; assault on a female; second-degree trespass; injury to real property; and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He is accused of hitting Sal-Queti Daugherty in the face with a diaper bag, pulling a gold chain off her neck and yanking earrings out of her ears.
Police reported that he also broke a window at the apartment off Standish Street, remained on the premises after being told to leave and had plastic bags and scales in his possession. Those items had marijuana residue on them, a report said.
His bond was set at $2,500.
In another incident, Kannapolis Police arrested Randall Lee Moore, 20, of 121 Kendrick Farm Road, Mount Holly, and charged him with assault with a deadly weapon.
He is accused of hitting Jonathan Wilkerson of 2140 Flat Rock Road, China Grove, on the hand and back with a metal object, breaking one of Wilkerson’s fingers.
