ALBEMARLE ó A woman and her son were found shot to death early Sunday on North First Street.
The victims, at 528 N. First St., have been identified as Shirley Inez Rummage, 73, and Ricky Dale Lowder, 48.
Shortly before 2 a.m. Sunday, officers responded to a report of a gunshot victim at 528 N. First St. Officers found two people dead inside the house, apparently from gunshot wounds.
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death. Officers have been on the scene and the investigation continues.
