Two charged with assaulting man with brick

A Landis man and a Kannapolis woman have been charged with robbing a man with a deadly weapon ó a brick.
J.T. Hall, 33, of 500 N. Central Ave., is charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon. He is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under $50,000 bond.
Tonya Denise Clark, 23, of 1421 Midlake Ave., Kannapolis is being held under a $25,000 bond.
Both are scheduled for first appearance hearings in Rowan County District Court today.
According to information provided to the Rowan County Magistrate’s office, the two used a brick to threaten and assault Michael Steve Fagan, of 1250 Elizabeth St., Kannapolis.
The incident reportedly occurred Monday at the Center Motel on North Cannon Boulevard in Kannapolis.
Hall and Clark took $1,600 from Fagan, according to Landis Officer R.L. Hosey.
