Third suspect sought in attempted murder

CHINA GROVE ó Police are seeking 18-year-old Averi Tyrell Barnes in connection with an attempted murder on June 19.
Two other men, DeJuan Adkins and Michael Angelo Bost, have already been charged with attempted first-degree murder and are being held in the Rowan County Detention Center under $250,000 bond.
Officer D.P. Walther said Adkins, Bost and Barnes severely beat Dewthey Walker of Kannapolis, who was involved in an argument with a woman.
Walther said after the beating, Barnes then shot Walker with a handgun.
Walker spent 10 days in Carolinas Medical Center- NorthEast for treatment.
