Salisbury Police say a teenager was shot early Friday morning at the Lakewood Apartments.
According to Salisbury Police, the victim, Dashon Taylor, 16, reported he heard a knock at the door around 4 a.m. Friday morning. Upon opening the door, he saw a white man with blonde hair wearing a green and black bandanna and white gloves.
The suspect said he was looking for someone else and he was told he was at the wrong apartment.
After Taylor shut the door and turned to walk away, he heard gunshots and was struck in the chest by one of the bullets.
Taylor was taken to Rowan Regional Medical Center and treated and released.
There are no suspects at this point and the investigation is continuing.
