A China Grove teen is charged with ethnic intimidation and assault of another China Grove teen.
According to arrest warrants, Andrew Steven Clark, 18, of 302 Sutton Road, was charged Friday with ethnic intimidation and assault with a deadly weapon.
The incident occurred May 1. Landis Police charged Clark.
The warrant said Clark assaulted the victim with an open 3-inch lock-blade knife by holding the knife in front of her face and saying he would bring his gang over to her house.
“He did threaten her because of her race and color,” the warrant said.
The is victim is a China Grove female. The warrant does not indicate her race.
Court records show Clark is expected in court June 18 also for a charge of misdemeanor possession of weapon on educational property.
Clark remains in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $1,000 secured bond.
