Suspect sought in robbery of Crossroads Market

The Rowan County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who robbed Crossroads Market Saturday night, taking money and pointing a gun at the clerk.
The incident occurred at 9 p.m. at 4195 Lentz Road. The man came into the store, displayed a gun and demanded money. While the register drawer was open, the man reached in and grabbed the money.
Witnesses saw the man leave the store and get into a green 1990s model Jeep Cherokee. He is described as being 6 feet tall, 250 pounds, wearing blue jeans, blue T-shirt. He also had on a dark colored lightweight jacket with a gray liner. The suspect had on glasses and a Lowe’s NASCAR baseball cap. He was said to be light skinned, but with a reddish pink complexion.
The clerk was not injured during the incident.
