LANDIS ó A man awaiting trial on charges of sexual exploitation of a minor has died.
Mitchell Perry Wright, of 770 Mount Moriah Church Road, was found dead at his home.
Detective Roger Hosey of the Landis Police Department said Wright’s sister became concerned when he did not answer the phone Sunday.
She went to his house near Mount Moriah Lutheran Church around 7 p.m. and found him.
Hosey said Wright had suffered from extensive medical problems for some time.
Last month, local, state and federal law enforcement officers raided the home looking for pornography. They found multiple recordings of a 9-year-old girl they said Wright secretly filmed while she was in a bathroom.
The recordings were apparently made at 121 Myrtle Goodnight Road, where Wright previously lived.
He was charged with three counts of secretly peeping and five counts of third-degree exploitation of a minor.
He posted $41,000 bond.
