Spencer Police charged a Salisbury teenager Friday with intimidating a witness who is supposed to testify against him.
Quadry De’Nero Johnson, 17, of 1407 Park Ave., was placed under $75,000 bond, according to reports from the Rowan County Magistrate’s Office.
Reports said Johnson “attempted to deter Andrew Casper from attending court by assaulting him and having six other individuals with him during the assault.”
The incident occurred Wednesday.
Casper is a witness on a robbery with a dangerous weapon charge against Johnson.
A.C. Hinson of the Spencer Police Department investigated.
Johnson’s first appearance in District Court on the charge of intimidating a witness is Tuesday.
