SPENCER ó Members of the Spencer Hometown Holiday Committee and the town’s Community Appearance Commission are holding a reverse raffle, which is officially titled a “Grand Draw Down.”
The event will be held Oct. 17 at the Spencer Moose Family Center. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. The grand prize is $5,000. There will also be two $250 cash prizes and 10 merchandise prizes. A barbecue dinner for two is included with the ticket purchase.
Dinners will be available for $6 for people not participating in the Grand Draw Down. This will be a smoke-free and alcohol-free event. A total of 150 tickets will be sold. Tickets are $100 each.

The Spencer Hometown Holiday Committee is made up of volunteers who live in and near Spencer. The group’s goal is to make Spencer look great for the holidays. Committee members are working to add more decorations and seasonal lighting in the downtown area.
