Sheriff's blotter: Items taken from Landis home

On Feb. 6, Reginald Reid Ponder, 712 W. Rice St., Landis, reported someone stole several items from his home, including $230 in cash, a handgun, and medication. Total loss is estimated at $1,134.
In other reports from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office:
– On Feb. 6, Gilberto Maldonado, 8135 Smith Rd., Kannapolis, reported someone broke into his car and stole two iPods, a box with two speakers, an amp and a CD player. The dashboard and door handle were damaged in the break-in. Total estimated loss and damages was $960.
– On Feb. 6, Angelette Lefaye Parks, 1727 Clemson Court, Kannapolis, reported someone threw an object from an overhead bridge on I-85 at N.C. 152 and broke her windshield. Estimated damage was $300.
– On Feb. 7, Starla Dawn Rea, 8261 Park Edwards Rd., Kannapolis, reported someone took her wallet from her home.
– On Feb. 7, Ronnie Lane Drye, 6750 E. N.C. 152, Rockwell, reported someone kicked in his back door. Damage was estimated at $400.
– On Feb. 7, Value Pawn & Jewelry, 1605 N. Ridge Ave., Kannapolis, reported someone pawned a stolen television.
– On Feb. 8, Henry Arthur Hoffman, 2525 Sherrills Ford Rd., reported someone took the license plate off his vehicle.
– On Feb. 8, Timothy John Dryman, 675 Adrean Rd., reported someone stole a chainsaw and gas can from his outbuilding. Total loss was estimated at $355.
– On Feb. 8, David Alan Lambert, 7835 Georgia Ave., Kannapolis, reported someone took a gun valued at $279 from his truck.
– On Feb. 8, Christopher Andrew Flieger, 4220 First St., China Grove, reported someone entered his home and took 2 guns valued at $2,500.
– On Feb. 6, Zaki Dukwane Torrence, 2625 Umberger Rd., Cleveland, was charged with assault by pointing a gun.
– On Feb. 6, Bennett Hough, 16, was charged with affray (fighting).
– On Feb 6. Zack Peterson, 16, was charged with affray (fighting).
– On Feb. 6, Avera Darnell Blackwell, 37, 1860 Sells Rd., was charged with possession with intent to manufacture a controlled substance, Schedule VI.
– On Feb. 6, Herman Chawlk, 49, was charged with using a telephone to threaten bodily harm.
– On Feb. 6, Jermain Lamont Turner, 31, was charged with possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute controlled substance, Schedule VI.
– On Feb. 6, Montreal Dishawn Steele, 16, was charged with breaking and entering a building.
– On Feb. 6, Eric Frank Sewell was charged with breaking and entering a buildings at 240 Midway Drive.
– On Feb. 7, Tereysha Robles, 17, was charged with simple assault at 140 Myers Place.
– On Feb. 8, Tavella Raychele Miller, 25, was charged with driving while impaired at 415 E. Innes St.
– On Feb. 8, Joshua Wayne, Cobb, 20, was charged withfelony larceny.
– On Feb. 8, Brenda Kay Bass, 37, was charged with obtaining property by false pretenses.
– On Feb. 8, Larry Eugene Poole, 52, was charged with larceny at 5710 S. Main St.
– On Feb. 8, Ruth Michelle Newton, 39, was charged with vandalism to real property and willful and wanton injury at 9398 Fisher Rd., Rockwell.
– On Feb. 8, Joshua Gray McDaniel, 19, was charged with vandalism to real property and willful and wanton injury at 8465 Dogwood Dr., Rockwell.
– On Feb. 8, Wiley G. Grooms was charged with simple assault at 3080 Stokes Ferry Rd.
