Sheriff's blotter: Gambling charge in Spencer

On Jan. 27, sheriff’s deputies obtained a search warrant for 1820-B U.S. 29 N. in Spencer. During the search, they seized gambling paraphernalia, a quantity of U.S. currency, and two firearms.
Also on Jan. 27, Lindsay Watson, 48, was charged with gambling charges at 1820 U.S. 29 N., Spencer.

– On Jan. 27, Michelle Orbison, 165 Reid Farm Rd., reported possible fraud.
– On Jan. 28, Angela Harkey, 1650 Third Creek Church Rd., Cleveland, reported someone vandalized her mailbox.
– On Jan. 27, Phillip Goodman, 715 Will Black Rd., reported his wife, Nicole Orr, left their residence on Friday and has not returned.
– On Jan. 27, John Harrity, 4635 Goodman Lake Rd., reported someone stole his 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt, valued at $8,000.
– On Jan. 27, Kelly Wilcox Romeo, 39, was charged with frivolous prosecution at 110 McField Dr., China Grove.
– On Jan. 27, Christopher Draton Salters, 36, was charged with first-degree sexual offense of a victim under 13 at 102 N. Central Ave., Landis.
– On Feb. 13, Erwin Booster Club, 170 St. Luke’s Church Rd., reported forcible entry into the concessions trailer sometime in the night.
– On Feb. 13, a student at Erwin Middle School, 170 St. Luke’s Church Rd., was charged with disorderly conduct.
– On Feb. 13, Gina Kimberlin Foster, 39, reported someone broke into her car and removed the stereo.
– On Feb. 13, Kelly Elizabeth Benton, 27, 8132 Smith Rd., Kannapolis, reported someone entered her car and removed items.
– On Feb. 13, Marie Holshouser Biggers, 49, 110 Rookwood Dr., reported vandalism sometime in the night.
– On Feb. 13, Richard James Cooley, 44, 199 Cooley Farm Rd., Woodleaf, reported someone stole several prescription narcotics.

– On Feb. 11, deputies responded to East Rowan High School, 175 St. Luke’s Church Rd., where a student had drug paraphernalia, Schedule II controlled substance and a knife in his vehicle.
– On Feb. 11, an individual reported two vehicles were stolen from 1280 Henderson Grove Church Rd., sometime between April 15 and Dec. 15, 2008.
– On Feb. 11, Mary Maxwell Corriher, 29, reported someone broke into her home at 410 McCarns St., Mooresville, and removed clothing and makeup. Estimated value of items is $900.
– On Feb. 11, Bernice Stanley, 77, reported someone broke five windows at her rental property, 107 Tammy Rd.
– On Feb. 11, Carl Franklin Goodman, 54, 2092 Glover Rd., reported someone stole prescription medication sometime between Feb 3 and 8.
– On Feb. 11, Vernon David Carroll, 40, reported someone stole a blue Buick LeSabre from his neighbor’s yard, 960 Carter Loop Rd., Rockwell.
– On Feb. 11, Karen Renee Staton, 40, 470 Paige Dr., reported someone known to her refused to let her out of a car.
– On Feb. 11, William G. McKeen, 17,was charged with DWI on U.S. 29 at Airport Rd.
– On Feb. 11, Tara Ledbetter Howell, 30, was charged with driving while impaired.
– On Feb. 11, Joanna Alicia Zeoli, 24, was charged with possession of controlled substance, Schedule II.
– On Feb. 11, Bradley Cecil Carpenter, 25, was charged with driving while impaired at 9805 Old Beatty Ford Rd., Rockwell.
– On Feb. 11, Brandon Eugene Chappelle, 19, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, Schedule VI at 2059 Crescent Rd. at Carrington Lane.
– On Feb. 11, Erica Jesson Fox, 20, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, Schedule I, at 2059 Crescent Rd. at Carrington Lane.
– On Feb. 12, members of the Rowan County Sheriff’s Department executed a search warrant at 4065 Woodleaf Rd. and charged Ricky Dale Moore Sr. with felony possession of cocaine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Moore was placed in the Rowan County Jail under $3,000 bond.
– On Feb. 12, Shirley Love, 72, 115 Boxwood Ct., Kannapolis, reported someone stole $150 in coins from her home.
– On Feb. 12, C&D Salvage, 645 Lentz Rd., China Grove, reported they lost a license tag while driving on Lentz Rd. sometime between Feb. 1 and 10.
– On Feb. 12, Dawn Allison Fink, 35, 147 Harrelson Dr., reported someone took items and jewelry valued at $610 from her home between Jan. 28 and 30.
– On Feb. 11, Gary Alexander Miller, 54, 7718 E. N.C. 152, Rockwell, reported someone took chainsaws from his storage building between Feb. 8 and 11. Total estimate of damages and loss was $700.
– On Feb. 12, a student at West Rowan High School was charged with drug possession.
– On Feb. 12, Marshall Albert Culp, 60, reported a suspicious fire burning in the back yard at 170 Mallard Lane.
– On Feb. 12, Glenn Edward Bailey, 56, was charged with driving while impaired at 3655 S. Main St.
– On Feb. 12, Daniel Lee Worley, 23, was charged with larceny of a firearm at 9710 Caycee Dr., Davidson.
– On Feb. 12, Woodrow Albert Hooks, 65, was charged with felony uttering a forged instrument.
– On Feb. 12, Ricky Dale Moore, 50, was charged with possession of a controlled substance, Schedule IV, at 4065 Woodleaf Rd.
– On Feb. 12, Jack Sayavong, 16, was charged with possession with intention to manufacture, sell or distribute controlled substance, Schedule VI, a felony, at 8050 N.C. 801, Mount Ulla.
He was also charged with possession of a controlled substance, Schedule VI, at West Rowan High School.
– On Feb. 12, Curtis E. Parridgen, 57, was charged with possession of stolen goods, a felony, at 7620 U.S. 52.
– On Feb. 12, Julian Thomas Wheeley, 22, was charged with assisting at 10000 Bringle Ferry Rd.
