The Rowan County Parks Department will hold Easter egg hunts at three parks on April 11, a Saturday. And they’ll have plenty.
“Nobody will go away hungry for Easter eggs,” said Don Bringle, parks director.
At Dan Nicholas Park, staff and volunteers spend about two hours putting out the 5,000 plastic eggs filled with goodies. All the eggs are gone in less than 10 minutes.
Here’s the schedule of egg hunts on April 11:
– Dan Nicholas Park, 10 a.m., children 4 and under; 10:30 a.m., children ages 5 to 8;
– Sloan Park, 10 a.m.;
– Ellis Park, 11 a.m., open to children ages 1 to 8.
