The Salisbury/Rowan Senior Games ended their season with an Oct. 12-13 golf tournament and an Oct. 22-25 basketball tournament with athletes receiving silver and bronze medals.
Men’s 65-69 age in golf:
– Gus Andrews, silver
– Wayne Tate, bronze
This was the first year in 3-on-3 basketball and the Davis & Davis Rowan Rounder’s made a great showing at East Carolina University in the State Finals Basketball Tournament. They won one out of three games played Saturday.
“I really thought they would pull the last game out, but our shots just didn’t stick. I’m so proud of all my seniors. Their hard work through out the year has paid off. We’ll be back next year,” said Phyllis Loflin-Kluttz, Rowan County Senior Games Coordinator.
