Salisbury man faces drug charges
A Salisbury man facing multiple drug charges is in the Rowan County jail under $200,000 bond.
Jimmy Wayne Lefler, 150 Rattlesnake Road, is charged with two counts of trafficking opium or heroin, possession with intent to manufacture, sell or distribute a Schedule III substance and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for the purpose for keeping or selling an illegal substance.
Lefler, 55, sold 28 grams of heroin to a police officer, according to an arrest warrant at the Rowan County Magistrate’s Office. He was also charged with possession of 44 dosage units of hydrocodone.
