A Salisbury man was placed under $350,000 bond Tuesday after being charged with first-degree rape and first-degree sex offense with a child under the age of 13.
Aaron Dmitri Witherspoon, 42, of 813 N. Lee St. is scheduled for an April 30 first-appearance hearing in Rowan County District Court, according to arrest reports. The offenses are alleged to have occurred between Feb. 1 and Feb. 28 of this year, the reports say.
Authorities say Witherspoon knows the victim.
