Salisbury Civitians seek nominations for Good Samaritan Award

Published 12:00 am Tuesday, December 1, 2009

Who are the Good Samaritans in Rowan County? The Salisbury Civitans want to know. Tell them about a compassionate person, someone with a loving spirit and a generous heart who will sacrifice time, talent or treasure to serve others joyfully and without hesitation.
If you know of such a person, they could win the Civitan Good Samaritan Award. The award is presented annually to honor and recognize individuals who demonstrate the attributes of a Good Samaritan in kindness, compassion and service to others.
To submit a nomination for the award, tell about the individual and his or her deeds (500 words or so) but do not use the individual’s name. Attach a cover sheet to the nomination that includes the nominee’s name, your name, address and telephone number. Do not tell the individual of the nomination.
Nominations must be received by March 5. You can give the nomination to any Civitan member or e-mail them to Rodney Queen at rodneque@aol.com. Or mail to Civitan Club of Salisbury, P.O. Box 171, Salisbury, NC 28145-0171.
The recipient will be honored at a Civitan luncheon at the Country Club of Salisbury on Thursday, April 2. Questions? Call Queen at 704-202-0319.
