Rowan County Tourism Development Authority to hear Empire Hotel project report Wednesday

The Rowan County Tourism Development Authority will hear a report on the Empire Hotel project at its meeting Wednesday.
Randy Hemann of Downtown Salisbury will discuss a market demand study.
Other items on the agenda include:
– Michelle Patterson, chairman of the Authority board, outlining goals for the year.
– James Meacham, executive director, discussing several current and future projects, including new advertisements, electronic marketing and an online hotel booking proposal.
– Discussion of full-time staff and visitor center staff hours.
The Authority meets at noon Wednesday in the Gateway Building, 204 E. Innes St.
