Rowan County insurance agent arrested on embezzlement charges

RALEIGH ó Insurance Commissioner Wayne Goodwin has announced the arrest of Pam S. Bollinger, 44, 1315 King Road, Salisbury. Department investigators allege that from 2007 until Sept. 26, 2008, Bollinger stole some $11,582 from her former employer, the Miller-Poole Insurance Agency in Rockwell.
She was arrested on March 5, and charged with two counts of embezzlement. She was processed at the Rockwell Department and released under a written promise to appear.
The Department of Insurance employs 20 sworn law enforcement officers dedicated to investigating claims of insurance fraud. In 2008, these investigators saw more than 453 cases successfully closed with more than $5.8 million in restitution and recoveries, 60 criminal convictions and 130 arrests.
