Report: Cleaning woman charged with cleaning out homeowners

Authorities say a woman cleaning the carpets in a Salisbury home cleaned out the homeowners, stealing money and jewelry.
Christy Gilbeau, 30, of 204 Viscount Road, Rockwell, is charged with felony larceny and two counts of obtaining property by false pretense.
According the a Rowan County Sheriff’s Office report, the property was taken from the home of Daniel Wilson Tuttle on Murray Drive sometime between Sept. 7 and Nov. 6.
Items valued at $12,550 were reported taken, including $2,000 in cash. Other items included a man’s diamond ring valued at $3,000, a diamond wedding band worth $2,800 and other gold jewelry.
Gilbeau was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center with bond set at $15,000.
