The N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close a section of Cool Springs Road (State Road 1003) near N.C. 801 in Rowan County today.
Motorists going west on Cool Springs Road should use the following signed detour:
– Hart Road (State Road 1985) to Needmore Road (State Road 1984) to N.C. 801 to Cool Springs Road.
Motorists going east on Cool Springs Road should use the following signed detour:
– N.C. 801 to Needmore Road to Hart Road to Cool Springs Road.
The road closure is necessary to repair the concrete deck on the bridge and is expected to reopen on Friday, June 26.
