CHARLOTTE ó The N.C. Department of Transportation will begin replacing the bridge on Poplar Tent Road (State Road 1394) over Coddle Creek in Concord on Monday, March 16.
Construction of the new bridge will not affect motorists until a lane shift is necessary to move traffic to the new bridge location in the summer of next year. The anticipated completion date is July 25, 2010.
The $1.9 million project was awarded to Dane Construction of Mooresville.
