Salisbury City Council has approved a permit for Attractions at 612 S. Main St. to have two pool tables in the establishment.
Steven R. Poole and Ashley Honeycutt are the new owners of Attractions.
Lt. Melonie Thompson of the Salisbury Police Department conducted required background checks on Poole and Honeycutt as required by city ordinance and recommended that the “pool hall” permit be approved.
As part of her research, Thompson also looked at records between April 2008 and April 2009 to determine the number of calls to the establishment police had received.
She said there were four times when police were called to disturbances outside the business.
