Did you know that children learn best when they are at play? In order to provide additional learning opportunities for children and support to stay-at-home parents/guardians, Smart Start Rowan is again offering an activity called Play to Learn.
Play to Learn is a free directed playgroup for children 0-5 years old and it offered at a site near you.
Smart Start Rowan, in cooperation with local faith-based facilities, is hosting playgroups each week, Monday through Thursday.
The participating sites and times are as follows: Mondays ó St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Salisbury; Tuesdays ó Faith Baptist Church in Faith; Wednesdays ó Concordia Lutheran Church in China Grove; and Thursdays ó Grace Lutheran Church in Salisbury.
Each site offers two sessions, with the first session from 9-10:30 a.m. and the second session from 10:45 a.m.- 12:15 p.m. Play Groups are limited to 12 parent/child enrollees for each session. Enrollment is on a first come basis.
