A section of Old Concord Road will be closed today so the Bostian Heights Fire Department can conduct training at a house in the 6600 block.
The road will be closed from Glover Road to Mount Hope Church Road from 7 a.m. until mid-afternoon, according to Bostian Heights Chief Mike Zimmerman. Residents who live in the closed area will have access to their residences with some minor restrictions and were notified individually before the training.
In order to avoid the training area, other motorists will have to use Mount Hope Church Road, Pop Stirewalt Road, Glover Road before returning to Old Concord. Motorists approaching from the opposite direction can use the same route or take Yost Road, Webb Road, Safrit Road, Mount Hope Church Road and then returning to Old Concord Road.
Motorists who do not have to travel through this area are encouraged to use an alternate route.
